Refund Policy.
At LA AquaGuard FL LLC ("LA AquaGuard FL," "we," "us," or "our"), we stand behind our work. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds may be issued for the pool maintenance, equipment repair, and related services we provide. It complements our Terms of Service.
01Our Service Guarantee
If we don't get it right, we'll fix it — or refund.
If you are not satisfied with a completed service, contact us within seven (7) days. We will return to address the issue at no additional labor charge. If we are unable to remedy the problem to a reasonable standard, we will refund the labor portion of the visit.
02Recurring Maintenance
Cancellation
You may cancel a recurring maintenance plan at any time by emailing info@laaquaguardfl.com or calling us. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period (typically the end of the month). You will receive any remaining scheduled visits that are already paid for.
Refunds for prepaid periods
- Monthly plans: no pro-rata refund for partial months. Service continues through the end of the period.
- Quarterly or annual prepaid plans: pro-rata refund of unused months, less any discount granted for prepayment and a $25 administrative fee.
- Missed visits. If we miss a scheduled maintenance visit and cannot make it up within the same week (excluding weather/safety delays), we will credit you for that visit.
03One-Time Services
- Diagnostic visits. Diagnostic fees are refundable only if no diagnosis is reached because we are unable to inspect the equipment (e.g., access denied on arrival). If diagnosis is provided, the fee is earned.
- Completed repairs. Subject to our 7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee (Section 01) and 30-day workmanship warranty under our Terms of Service.
- Work not yet performed. If you cancel an approved repair before parts are ordered or work begins, any payment will be refunded in full (less any small administrative fee, if disclosed in advance).
- Work in progress. Once parts are ordered or labor begins, that portion is non-refundable but the unworked portion can be canceled.
04Parts & Equipment
- Manufacturer warranty. Replacement parts (pumps, motors, filters, valves, etc.) carry the manufacturer's warranty only. We will assist you in submitting a warranty claim when applicable.
- Defective parts within 30 days. If a part we installed fails within 30 days due to defect (not misuse or external damage), we will replace it at no cost to you, including labor.
- Special-order or custom parts. Non-refundable once ordered, except where defective on arrival.
- Chemicals & consumables. Once applied or opened, chemicals are non-refundable.
05Emergency Service
Emergency and after-hours service is performed at premium rates disclosed before dispatch. Once we have dispatched a technician to your location at your request, emergency dispatch fees are non-refundable, regardless of whether on-site work is ultimately authorized — these fees cover real travel and time costs incurred to respond rapidly.
06Deposits
Deposits required for larger repairs (typically jobs over $500) are:
- Refundable in full if canceled before parts are ordered.
- Refundable minus parts cost and any restocking fees if canceled after parts are ordered but before installation.
- Non-refundable once installation has begun.
07Non-Refundable Items
The following are non-refundable except where required by law:
- Completed labor in the absence of a valid satisfaction or warranty claim.
- Special-order or custom parts that have been ordered or installed.
- Trip charges incurred due to access denial, no-show, or scheduling errors on your end.
- Emergency dispatch fees once a technician has been dispatched.
- Diagnostic fees once diagnosis has been provided.
- Promotional or discount credits, gift cards, and similar incentives.
08How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or raise a concern about a service:
- Email info@laaquaguardfl.com within 7 days of the service date (or for plans, within the cancellation window).
- Include your name, service address, invoice or appointment number, payment method, and a brief description of the issue.
- We will respond within 2 business days. If a return visit will resolve the issue, we will schedule it promptly.
- If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method. Bank or card-issuer timing may add a few additional days.
09Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us first if you have any concern about a charge. Almost all issues can be resolved directly and faster than a chargeback dispute. Initiating a chargeback without first attempting to resolve the matter with us may result in suspension of any active maintenance plan, referral of the disputed amount for collection, and disqualification from future services. Fraudulent chargebacks may be reported to credit bureaus where permitted by law.
